1. Operator and contact

TODO: Confirm the operator or business name, responsible person, and reachable email address for the live service.

Privacy inquiries and requests should be handled through the confirmed contact channel with a clear response process.

2. Data processed

ChessStep does not require an account and does not send game records, lesson completion, selected level, or side settings to a server database. These values are stored only in the current browser’s local storage.

When ads are enabled on home, play, course, detailed lesson, chess guide, and about pages, the Kakao AdFit external script may load. During ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement, access data, device data, browser data, cookies, or ad identifier-related data may be processed.

TODO: If Google Analytics or another analytics tool is used, document the measurement ID, collected data, anonymization settings, and retention period according to the live configuration.

3. Purpose of processing

Local storage data is used to keep lesson completion and play settings available in the same browser.

Kakao AdFit-related data may be processed for ad delivery, impression and performance measurement, and abuse prevention.

TODO: Add any operator-specific contact, statistics, or diagnostics purposes used in production.

4. Retention

Lesson completion and play settings in browser local storage may remain on the device until the user clears browser or site data.

Retention for ad and analytics provider data follows each provider’s policy and the retention settings chosen by the operator.

TODO: Confirm retention periods for any inquiry records, logs, or analytics data separately stored by the operator.

5. Third parties and processors

When ads are enabled, Kakao AdFit may cause external requests to Kakao-related domains during ad service delivery.

TODO: Confirm whether third-party sharing, processing delegation, processors, delegated tasks, or cross-border transfers apply under the live operating setup.

6. Cookies and choices

Advertising and analytics tools may use cookies or similar technologies. Users can restrict or delete cookies in browser settings, although some ad or analytics behavior may change.

TODO: Review whether the target operating region requires a consent banner, opt-out flow, or cookie list.
